Commonly Confused Words: A Dictionary

One of the biggest problems that occurs with regards to spelling and grammar during the writing process, no matter what type of writing you may be doing, is the use of incorrect words. Using the incorrect word can drastically change the meaning of your sentence and, indeed, your paragraph and therefore the message you are sending to your reader. This not only detracts from what you are saying but may alter your message.

This dictionary includes over 800 words, and 380 two- and three-word sets, which are commonly used incorrectly. While this list is not exhaustive, it will give you a good idea of how to use many of the incorrectly used words often seen in all types of written material.
